Tara Winfield recently moved to Naples, Florida from Edwardsville, Illinois. Her husband, Matt, grew up in Naples before he moved to the Midwest, so the both of them had made it a habit of visiting the Southwest Florida area several times a year ever since they started dating in high school.
“I spent about a year in Naples in 2005 working with a local interior designer – and then went back ‘home’ to Illinois to get married, buy a house, and begin my real estate career. In 2012, we bought a vacation condo in North Naples, in Palm River Estates. In 2014, we made 10 trips to Naples, and finally decided that if we were going to be spending all of our time and money here, we may as well live here full-time.”
They currently reside in Mockingbird Crossing, which is a D.R. Horton community that features estate sized lots.
It comes as no surprise that Tara knows her way around Southwest Florida and is familiar with the real estate market, especially after her experience “house-hunting” herself.
When she was a little girl she would beg her mother to take her to open houses on Sundays. In 2007, she decided to embark on the journey of turning a childhood dream into a reality. That initial draw of wanting to “look at pretty houses” transitioned into a love for the high-energy, multi-faceted aspects that a career like real estate entails.
Tara’s background in the business is extensive. While living in the St. Louis Metro area Tara was selling 30-35 homes per year. The key she said, “Making each client feel as if they were my only,” a philosophy she holds true to this day.
In Tara’s free time she enjoys taking walks on our white sand beaches, watching Cardinal Baseball games, and spending time with friends and family, all the while keeping a close eye on what’s happening in the real estate market. See for Tara being a Realtor is not just a job that she performs, it’s a favorite pastime.
